The force fixture is designed to measure the thrust of each of the motors individually under various conditions that we will encounter in the competition. Most importantly, the force fixture helps us identify manufacturing differences between motors and the effect of voltage on the thrust of each motor. Although the differences in thrust under various conditions is usually minimal, it is crucial to know because the robot is entirely autonomous.
